JAIME BEDARD, LCSW

Adults, Young Adults, PTSD, Integrated Movement Therapy

Jaime (she/her) is with you on the journey of authentically inhabiting your life so you can live with greater ease, purpose, wildness and joy.  She emphasizes partnership, moving at your pace and integrating multiple creative styles of practice into sessions, including accessible movement, mindfulness and self-compassion practices (learn more about Integrated Movement Therapy here).  She works from an intersectional lens and is invested in exploring and dismantling the ways that all systems of oppression (sexism, racism, ableism, fat phobia, homophobia, transphobia, etc.) harm us all.  Jaime believes in individual transformation as a path to creating a more just and equitable world.  She is honored and excited to do this work with you.

------------

No matter what you are facing, it is my goal to provide a caring environment for you to come exactly as you are.  You are the expert of your own life, my role is as a guide into inner exploration.  I will provide a container to address the difficulties of life as you remember and gain a greater sense of your inherent worth.  Authentically inhabiting your life expands your capacity to handle suffering.

We do this work together.  My approach includes deep conversation that points toward greater awareness of the many parts of yourself (which most often have different needs, worries, desires...).  With humanity and with kind attention, we move at your pace- tending to emotional wounds and creating clear goals. We will explore your individual stories, and also the ways your inner world has been shaped by outside systems and structures (family, work environments, oppressive systems). I have a creative approach that can include movement and mindfulness practices, journaling, and other ways of embodying your wildly authentic self.  Learn more about the Integrated Movement Therapy I offer by clicking this link.

I am invested in exploring and dismantling the ways that all systems of oppression (racism, sexism, ableism, fat phobia, homophobia, transphobia, etc) harm us all.

When we deepen and transform on an individual level, we create ripples of care that have the capacity to create a more just and equitable world. I am excited and honored to do this work with you!
