What is Art Therapy?
Art therapy involves the creation of art in order to promote healing and self-awareness. The process encourages people to express and understand emotions through art-making.

What does an Art Therapist Do?
While in Group or Individual sessions, Samantha will help you navigate art materials. At the same time, the client and therapist will explore any underlying dynamics that may be communicated during the art-making process in order to aid in and promote self-awareness.
What does a Art Therapy Session look like?
The first session will be an introductory meeting. In this session, we will discuss what brought you to therapy, what is currently going on in your life, what are the current stressors in your life, and what currently brings you happiness. There also may be an exploration of art materials to discover client interest and comfort level.
The following sessions will be developed and created with both the client and therapist based on art interests and the developing issues or concerns in the clients life.
Each session is unique to the individual.
