Self-Care2 with Tanya Cole Lesnick, LCSW-R
Here at The Lighthouse we talk about self-care… a lot. And often our clients struggle with time and motivation to follow through with self-care practices. Of course coming for therapy is a great form of self-care, so pat yourself on the back when you do that for yourself, but we know it’s not enough. This program offers an opportunity to combine two self-care practices in one—walking and talking. And not only does the movement enhance our physical health, it also helps to open us up as we engage in the intimate conversations of a therapy session. Multitasking at its finest! There are two options:
- One-on-one (by appointment) There are two early morning spots available (to get that day started right!)
Mondays through Fridays 7:30-8:15 am 8:15-9:00 am.
- Mini-group (keeping it small so we can hear each other while we walk) 2-4 participants Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays Four weeks starting Monday, June 4th Must commit to the entire package, twelve groups, $240 (some insurances accepted)
Week One: Purpose—What do we really, really want?
Week Two: Stuck Places—What holds us back?
Week Three: Inspired Action—What are we actually planning to do?
Week Four: Support—How are we going to support our chances for success? The walks take place rain or shine! We’ll meet next to the parking lot at Croton Landing, five minutes from The Lighthouse.
